Roach Top Espoir at Mallory
Steven Roach (SIS-Trek) claimed another victory at the weekend, winning the Espoirs category at Round 4 of the National Trophy Cyclo-Cross series en route to third overall in the Senior category. Roach tamed the freezing conditions around a highly technical Mallory Park circuit in Leicestershire, chasing down an early break by series leader Jody Crawforth (Evans Cycles) and visiting Belgian, David Willemsens.  The visitor was soon dropped and his relentless pace saw Crawforth go clear with two laps to go, while Roach dropped behind David Collins (Scott UK) for third and top Espoir.
In other categories, Sion OBoyle put a disastrous start behind him in the Juniors event to claw up to sixth by the line, while Lee Williams (CC Abergavenny) claimed 23rd in the seniors after first lap mechanical problems dropped him to the back of the field. Andy Baum (Climb on Bikes) and Anthony OBoyle (Newport Phoenix) followed home in 28th and 29th respectively. Full results can be found on the British Cycling website HERE.
Welsh Stars Continue Dominance at Revolutions 10
Lucy Richards extended her dominant lead in the Future Stars competition with victory in the 5km Scratch and 1 mile dash. Alex Greenfield benefited from her fellow team-mate's hard work to take the Devil event, with Katie Curtis claiming third. In the boy's competition Rhys Lloyd consolidated his second overall against strong opposition.
Nicole Cooke showed her Track talents, winning both the Womens Points and Scratch events against International competitors.
