Monday night is race night for all novices and improvers at Newport Velodrome.
Racing takes place under the watchful eyes of an experienced Newport Velo club coach who will assist and advise on racing in safety.
Warm up starts at 6.00 p.m. with racing between 6.15 and 8.00. All ages are welcome with suitable race groups set by rider's ability.

Hill Climb Championship is on!
WSCA Hill Climb Championships will be held on the 26th November at Cwmcarn Scenic Forest Drive.
The competition will start at 8.30 a.m. and signing on will be located at the start and will open at a time to be forwarded with entry confirmation.
Welsh Cycling congratulates the eighteen candidates who this weekend completed the theory element of their Club Coach qualification at Newport Velodrome.
The trainee coaches will now embark on their practical assignments before qualifying as Club Coaches. Six of the candidates were from local Go-Ride club
Newport Velo and prospective Go-Ride club Bynea CC, with the coaches going on to promote quality
youth coached sessions within their clubs.
As British Cycling embark on their new coach education structure in line with the UK Coaching Certificate, there is now a qualification for all levels of coaching. With the introduction of Go-Ride, Welsh Cycling is particularly interested in hearing from anyone interested in training as a Level 1 coach,
capable of taking youngsters for cycle skills sessions at fixed
venues.
