The first ever Welsh Cycle show is being held at the Wales National Velodrome, the home of Welsh Cycling, on 5 and 6 April.  It is an exciting opportunity to see the latest bikes, and cycling products, with exhibitors from all areas of cycling, and some big names, including Bianchi, Condor, Trek and Willier, amongst many others.

Welsh Cycling has teamed up with the show organisers to bring a fantastic opportunity to our affiliated clubs in Wales.  The show organisers are passionate about cycling, and have made a generous offer to support cycling clubs in Wales.

For every ticket bought in advance Welsh Cycle Show will donate £2 directly to cycling clubs in Wales. To take advantage of this offer, you simply need to buy your tickets for the show in advance and then make sure you tell the person on the admission gate what club you belong to, your club must be affiliated to Welsh Cycling. The more members of your club that attend, the more money your club gets back.

If you are not currently a member of an affiliated club in Wales, but a member of British/Welsh Cycling, you can still support cycling in Wales, simply by stating you are a member at the gate, the £2 will be donated to Welsh Cycling. We have pledged that any donations to Welsh Cycling will be put into supporting our youth focused ‘Go Ride’ scheme in Wales. Please note - tickets bought on the day are not eligible for either offer – so get your tickets online now!

If you are a budding photographer, why not take part in Welsh Cycling’s ‘Love Wales, Love Cycling’ photo competition.  We have four Welsh Cycle Show tickets to give away for the photo that best captures what cycling in Wales means to you, but you’ll need to submit your entry by March the 28th.

In addition to this fantastic offer, we are also supporting two of our clubs, Cardiff Ajax and Monmouthshire Wheelers, to deliver a workshop at the event to promote women’s cycling.  This will include sessions on clothing, club riding, and what events are out there for women to enter.  Both clubs have begun women only rides, suitable for all abilities, and with a local café stop. There will be a special edition of these women only club rides on 6April, starting from the Tennis Centre at Newport International Sports Village at 10:30am, run by the two clubs in partnership.

Finally, why not come along and find us at the show to say hello – we will hosting a stall with our Watt Bikes. Why not pitch yourself in a virtual head to head race with your mates, or see how you compare on our ‘max power’ league table that we will be running each day!
