Welsh Cycling is looking to develop and up skill members, coaches and volunteers through the new Workforce Development department.

Anthony Antippas, National Workforce Development Manager, will be looking to improve the current coach education programme as well as developing the skills of coaches active within Wales. He will also be looking to assist event organisers and key event personnel such as CSAS and NEG marshals, Commissaires and race officials in developing their skills and improving on the services provided by Welsh Cycling.

Welsh Cycling is looking for existing volunteers and coaches to get in touch with what they need and where they think Welsh Cycling could help them develop. Anthony will also be visiting clubs and events throughout Wales in 2014 giving members the opportunity to meet Anthony and discuss what they want from Welsh Cycling.

This will be followed by studies with the University of South Wales to assist in identifying where and how improvements can be made and the development of an online coach improvement tool.

If you are an active coach, volunteer, official or an organisation that wants to improve their skills within cycling, please contact Anthony Antippas by email, anthony.antippas@welshcycling.co.uk or by phone, 01633 274691.
