Bike Breakfasts in Manchester and Birmingham
On 8th Sept 2010, British Cycling held a bike breakfast in central Manchester as part of the START sustainability tour. Manchester's cyclists were treated to a free breakfast courtesy of Kelloggs, steaming hot coffee from Starbucks, a free bike tune up from Evans' Cycles, security marking from Greater Manchester Police, plus info on local cycling groups and cycle training.
A day later in Birmingham, British Cycling staff were once again up and about early doors, dishing out the cereal and bananas to hungry Brummie cycle commuters. With Sky Ride coming to the city on Sunday 12th Sept, we hope that the Midlands metropolis has a big appetite for cycling.
