Tour of Pembrokeshire

Date: 7th June 2009

After last year's success the Tour of Pembrokeshire is back in 2009! The event comprises a challenging Cyclosportive offering a choice of either a 116 mile or 64 mile route. The route commences at Folly Farm, a popular tourist attraction near Tenby and will proceed through the Preseli Mountains of central Pembrokeshire and along the Scenic Pembrokeshire Coast which is incorporated in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

The 116 mile route offers climbs totalling some 10,800 feet and offers excellent views from the highest landmarks of Pembrokeshire. The 'not so challenging' 64 mile route provides an ideal stepping stone for the less experienced rider to advance to the 116 mile route in the future.

The ride is fully supported with regular feed and water stops. Electronic timing chips are compulsory. Riders will be expected to be able to maintain an average speed of 12.5 miles per hour.
