Wessex 100/50/30

Event Date: 13th Sept 2009

This spectacular ride now starts from just outside Bath. Both the 100m, 50m & 30 m route heads southeast past the lions of Longleat, continuing downhill towards Salisbury along the Wylye Valley. The ride then skirts Salisbury plain before tackling the legendary Brassknocker Hill on the return to Bath, where the finish awaits!

The 30m option is generally gentler and a lot quiter than the 50m, which heads off to Frome using mainly traffic free railway paths. As some unmetalled paths are used we advise that racing road bikes are not used; this 30m route will be ideal for tourers, hybrids and MTB's - those with a wider tyre.
