Licence Points Explained - Road & Circuit Racing

Points are awarded on the basis of the result gained and the level (i.e. status) of the event, according to the table below. These points go towards a rider's licence category and towards their National and Regional rankings and the National and Regional rankings of their club or Team.

Notes:

Regional C and Go Race events do not qualify for licence points. For stage races, points shall be awarded for final standings in the general classification. For specific road and circuit events, the following points bands shall apply :

  • National A Stage Race: Individual Stage (including Time Trials): Points Band 3
  • National B and C Stage Races: Individual Stage (including Time Trials): Points Band 4
  • Regional Stage Races: Individual Stage (including Time Trials): Points Band 5
  • National Championship or National Series event for Women: Points Band 2
  • Other event open only to Women: Points Band 3
  • National Championship or National Series event for Juniors: Points Band 2
  • Other event open only to Juniors: Points Band 3
  • National Championship or National Series event for Masters: Points Band 3
  • Other event open only to Masters: Points Band 4
  • Standard Track Event of 3km or Over: Band 5 (Top 6 Placings)
  • National Track Championship or National Track Series Event 3km or Over: Band 3 (Top 6 Placings)
  • Final Standings in Track Leagues: Band 4 (Top 6 Placings)
