Posted: 22 March 2011

Scottish Cycling is looking to appoint a Regional Development Officer to cover the geographic area of Aberdeenshire, City of Aberdeen, Angus, Perth & Kinross.

The Regional Development Officer (RDO) will be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating a coordinated regional development plan for this designated region. The RDO will facilitate and coordinate opportunities through events, coaching and volunteering activities, across all ages and abilities, to increase participation in Cycling. The priority for the region will be determined by the development plan but will continue to support the athlete pathway from an entry level. Supported by the Development Manager the Regional Development Officer will be the key contact in the region, representing SC at a local and regional level. Applicants should have knowledge and experience of sports development, have excellent interpersonal skills and be enthusiastic, self motivated and confident in being able to drive forward the implementation of the regional development plan.
