SC - UCI REGULATIONS - BICYCLE SPECIFICATION

Posted on: 16th September 2011

Article by: Events Team

The Board of Scottish Cycling are aware of the concern the members had with reference to the introduction of UCI Regulations and after lengthy deliberation have formed the opinion that it would currently not serve neither the sport in Scotland or our members best interests to introduce these regulations at this time.

The existing Bike Specification Technical Regulation 1.19 headed MACHINE (page 40 in the LBB) will still apply.

It must be stressed, however, that any rider competing at British National or UCI international events either here or elsewhere have the responsibility to ensure their own bikes are UCI compliant. Any queries relating to this decision should be made in writing to janette.hazlett@scottishcycling.org.uk.
