Event Preview: Published 11th October 2013

Scottish cycling stars, present and future, will descend on the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome this weekend ahead of the Scottish Cycling National Track Championships with many of Scottish Cycling’s performance athletes looking to set qualification standards for the Commonwealth Games, Glasgow 2014.

Day One Report and Results: Published 11th October 2013

It was an exciting first day of racing at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome where Team GB athlete Callum Skinner beat City of Edinburgh RC team mate John Paul to take gold in the Men’s Keirin. Emma Baird (City of Edinburgh RC) clinched the women’s Sprint Championship title. Team ASL 360’s Tom Arnstein and Mark Stewart took the Junior Madison championships title, Mark Stewart then became a double Scottish Champion winning the Junior Sprint, ahead of Tom Arnstein and Fraser Martin (Perth United CC).

Day Two Report and Results: Published 12th October 2013

It was full steam ahead at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome on day two of the Scottish Cycling National Track Championships as Team GB athlete Callum Skinner hoped to make it a 2013 double championship win after crashing just hours before the 2012 Senior Sprint final at the ThunderDrome event, shattering his collarbone. But City of Edinburgh RC team mate was ready to defend his title.
