Rider Profile

Name: Lucy Grant

Primary Club: Peebles Cycling Club

Biography:

My name is Lucy Grant, I am 17 and first year Junior in Mountain Biking. I am so lucky that I live in Peebles because I have such an amazing network of trails and people around me and I think all of this plus my Dad being into cycling is what got me into Mountain Biking.

When I was 7 I did my first race, it was an SXC at Drumlanrig. I thoroughly enjoyed it and since then that’s been me! Over the years I’ve tried road and other disciplines within the sport but so far nothing has given me as much enjoyment and adrenaline from racing as Mountain Biking. I’ve had loads of amazing opportunities over the years in cycling and I am really chuffed to be on the Olympic Development Program this year.
