Rider Profile

Name: Hamish Carrick

Primary Club: Team ASL360

Biography

I am a cyclist from the Boarders and my future ambition is to become a professional cyclist competing internationally at all the top races around the world on the road and on the track. I have 2 more years left at school, and I then hope to go onto university to study sports science or physiotherapy. My house is close to the boarder and in the middle of nowhere so its really quite training rides about, with some pretty good hills not too far away. My main focus is on the road but also with racing on the track.

Career Highlights to date

Errigal youth Tour international stage 1-2nd place

Errigal youth Tour international stage 3-3rd place

Errigal youth Tour international overall 3rd place

2012 Scottish Cyclocross Champion u16

Who inspires you and why

My main inspiration is Tom Boonen and the way he dominated the start of the season last year and won so many races! But also without sounding really cheesy my friends and how they are always there for advice, and just general patter.
