Otley Cycle Races Incorporating National Men's Circuit Championships

One of the highlights of the road race calendar are the Otley town centre races to be held this year on Wednesday 20 June. This year the event has extra significance as it will host the British Cycling Elite Circuit Race Championship.
Youth riders also have the opportunity to experience this exciting evening of racing. This year the youth races consist of The Triton Construction Super Prestige Youth Race (for under 16 riders) and the WGC Landscapes Lads and Lasses Bike Race (for under 14 riders). There are great prizes in all categories and once you’ve raced you can sit back and watch the UK’s leading elite riders contest a national championships on the same circuit you’ve just raced on. Halfords Tour Series Support Races - Torquay
Torquay is set to welcome the Halfords Tour Series for the first time this summer, as Britain's leading televised cycle race series brings its unique, team based competition to the streets of South Devon's Beautiful Bay.
Britain's top ten professional cycling teams will head to Torquay on Tuesday 5 June to battle it out on a challenging circuit around Torre Abbey for the eighth round of the series. In support of this main attraction, locally based Mid-Devon Cycling Club are promoting a number of amateur races around the same closed road circuit, giving cycling enthusiasts a rare opportunity to sample the true professional road race experience.
1pm - British Cycling Go Race: Open to anyone under sixteen, no experience or race licence necessary. Participants must have a serviceable bike and cycle helmet.
2.10pm - Youth A & B Circuit Race: Open to BC Youth Riders aged 12 to 16 years

2:55pm - Community Fun Race: Open to local business or Interest Groups. Riders must compete in teams of three riders. No experience or race licence necessary. If you would like to enter a team please contact highways@torbay.gov.uk.
4pm - Regional A Race: Open to BC Category 2/3/4 riders. Entry via the British Cycling Website
7:00pm - The Halfords Tour Series race starts (1 hour + five laps)
8:30pm - Podium ceremony and presentations
Tockwith Circuit Race Cancellations
Unfortunately due to a local Council planning restriction imposed upon the circuit owner, permission to use the circuit at Tockwith for cycle racing has been withdrawn until further notice.
It is therefore with regret that the organisers have taken the decision to cancel the following events currently in the British Cycling calendar:

The organisers are currently seeking alternative closed circuit venues in the area upon which to run replacement events later this summer.
Volunteers Wanted: National Road Championships - Sunday 24 June
Why not take the chance to get close to the action at the Elite and Under 23 Women and Men’s Championships, to be held at Ampleforth, North Yorkshire. Needed is a team of 45 Marshals for the course as well as other roles at the Race Village.
With a full day to take in the Best of British, volunteers will receive an event tee-shirt as well as packed lunch and a £10 discount towards a ride in the Ryedale Rumble Sportive on the 2nd September.
