Event: 29 July 2012
Report: Snowdon Sports

Ian Norris of Blumilk.com built up a convincing lead to take first place in the Thornton Trophy on Sunday.

Although the weather was bright for the contest, there was a strong wind blowing over the course. But this didn’t affect the performance of Norris as he broke away midway through the second of three laps to open up a gap.

On his own for the last 25 miles of the race, the gap gradually extended and by the end of the race, there was 1:05 between Norris and second-placed Alan Nixon of Black Hawk Bikes.
