Continuing a run of high finishes, Luke Boulton (Tameside Cyclesport-Base2Racecycles.co.uk) secured his first win of the season after 20 laps of the two-mile Birkenhead Park circuit.

The 19-year-old came in ahead of Stuart Percival (Great Britain Fire Service) and Tony Greenhalgh (Wheelbase/MGD) in the all-category men’s event at the Birkenhead North End CC promotion.

A clash with a round of the Women’s Team Series led to a reduced entry for the women’s race which saw 21-year-old Charlotte Walton (VS Cycles) celebrate a maiden victory.
