Road: Pearson wins Scunthorpe Poly Circuit Races

Lancaster-based rider Julian Pearson made a successful trip over to Lincolnshire when he won the third round of the Scunthorpe Poly Circuit Races staged at Blyton Park Driving Centre near Gainsborough on Saturday.

The 20-year-old Vanilla Bikes rider from Lancaster pipped 16-year-old Callum Rogers to the win, while Epworth-based teenager Rogers held off Holmfirth’s Gabriel Cullaigh (RST Racing Team) for second spot in the 28.8-mile race.

Talented Cullaigh took victory in the youth race run over five laps, while Max Poole (Lincsquad) won the youth race for the younger CDE riders, which took in three laps of the circuit.
