Jason Flooks nicked victory on the line in the Mike Rutty Memorial Road Race in Bishop Sutton on Sunday.

The 41-year-old, riding for the organising club, Velo Club Bristol, was part of a seven-man break which pulled away with a lap and a half to go.

He beat Ross Clayton (NFTO) into second place as the seven riders all battled it out on the line. Junior, Sebastian Baylis (Mid Devon CC), finished in fourth, narrowly losing out to Charles Coleman (Cadence Cannondale RT).

Twenty seconds down, the rest of the top ten, led by Cardiff JIF’s Matt Beckett, crossed the line. Among that group was points jersey winner, Gerry Bowditch of Mapledown Racing.
