The event on the day will feature the West Midlands Regional Youth Circuit Championships as well as races for beginners, women only and elite category racing cyclists

The participants in the different youth races who live in the West Midlands region will be competing for the regional champion's title, of which there are 10 titles up for grabs across the different categories. The winners in each category will receive a specially designed winners cycling jersey.

Go Ride races, which are for novices in the under 8s, 10s and 12 year age groups, have also been added into the days programme. The first race begins at 9.30am and continues throughout the day to the last race which finishes at 5.45pm approx.

The route of the city centre circuit will start on Market Street following the road round to go past Boots onto Tamworth Street and left into Lombard Street. It then turns left towards the Cross Keys car park and into Reeve Lane. The left turn into Dam Street from Reeve Lane will see last minute jostling for the lead position into the tight right turn back on to Market Street and the finish line.

Advance entries are available up to until Friday 26 August at 12noon. For further information please contact Phil Kelly on 01543 308842 or phil.kelly@lichfielddc.gov.uk.
