Diss and District CC Road Race
Hopton, Suffolk, 65 miles
Event: 7th August 2011
Report: Snowdon Sports

Eagle RC's Bryan Crump sprinted to his second victory of the season at the head of a six-man break in Diss and District CC's 65-mile road race in Suffolk.

The race was held over six laps of a new Hopton-based circuit being used by the club for the first time, containing one short and sharp climb on heavy roads and exposed to a stiff crosswind.

The decisive move came around halfway when the six leaders broke clear, and they were two minutes clear by the finish where 33-year-old Crump, from Hackney in East London, took the sprint by a comfortable margin over Jack Steven (East London Velo) and Owen Lake (Cambridge CC).
