The Trossachs

Summary: Enjoy the natural beauty and historic sites of the Trossachs and the Loch. Mostly on cycle path around Loch Katrine, so it's very flat.
Essential Information: Take the A821 to Trossachs Pier, where there is parking. The cycle path begins at the start of the hill. It is marked as National Cycle Network route 7, and also as a bike route by the Forestry Commission. Trossachs Pier features car parking facilities, a tea room, shop and bike hire. There are picnic spots around the Loch and a tea room at the Brig o' Turk. Weather can be unpredictable so take waterproofs!
Other Attractions: Enjoy the scenery by taking a trip on the S.S. Sir Walter Scott from Trossachs Pier to Stronachlachar. You will see some historic landmarks such as Ellen's Isle, Silver Strand, Portnellan, one of the burial places of the clan MacGregor, the Royal Cottage and the Factor's Island.
