Where to Ride: Kent

Kent in the south east of England is an attractive place to ride a bike. The county, known as the Garden of England, has a great network of lanes and minor roads for road riding and a large selection of off-road locations for mountain biking and leisure riding.
Leisure: Bewl Water
Bewl Water, situated on the Kent and Sussex border, has a 13 mile perimeter track around the reservoir which is permissible to cyclists. It is one of the most popular attractions in the region and provides on and off-road cycling in an extremely attractive environment. Read more...
Mountain Biking: Bedgebury Forest
Bedgebury Forest in the Weald of Kent is a wonderful place to ride for mountain bikers and leisure cyclists. The two thousand acre Forestry Commission owned woodland has an excellent 13 kilometre way-marked singletrack trail and freeride area for mountain bikers. While a 9 kilometre family trail (which can be shortened) provides an ideal location for traffic-free leisure riding. Read more...
Road: Royal Tunbridge Wells Loop
If Kent was good enough for stage one of the 2007 Tour de France then it has to be an attractive place to ride. Our featured road ride, which starts and finishes in Royal Tunbridge Wells, has an historic and cultured feel to it. Rolling hills, forests, pretty villages, castles and oast houses provide for an interesting mix during our loop around the west of Kent and into the fringes of East Sussex and Surrey. Read more...
