Volunteer at Dalby and Bag a Free Family Pass

Posted: 13th April 2010 | Source: British Cycling

British Cycling is proud to be hosting the 2010 UCI Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Cup Yorkshire taking place at Dalby Forest between the 23rd and 25th April. It'll be a great event to watch, but even better to say you were involved in this first ever world cup to take place in Yorkshire. So if you think that you'd like to become part of the team we have a number of Volunteer roles available ranging from Course Marshals to Event Management support and Anti-Doping Chaperones.

Click here to download a copy of the Volunteer Job Descriptions (PDF format)

As if being part of this event wasn't reward enough, every volunteer will receive (along with much more) exclusive World Cup Crew clothing, a goodie bag full of contributions from Buff, Giro & PowerBar and, because we don't want your nearest and dearest to miss out on all the fun, we're chucking in a weekend family pass for the world cup weekend (we won't make them work, promise!)

So if you're not already clicking on the link below to put yourself forward and still need a little more persuasion, here's what you'll be missing out on if you're not in Dalby during the world cup weekend:

  • Friday - The town of Pickering plays host to the opening night of the world cup weekend with the Pro Sprint Eliminator, urban cross country racing in a 4X format.
  • Saturday - Junior World Cup Racing followed by the Dalby Dare in which the public get their chance to ride the world cup course.
  • Sunday - Elite men's and women's cross country racing in the opening round of the 2010 UCI Mountain Bike Cross-Country World Cup

To be part of this historic weekend and to bag your free family pass to the event email volunteers@britishcycling.org.uk now.
