7stanes Glentrool

Summary: An epic ungraded 58km forest trail with big climbs and big views. Not the technical tour de force of Glentress, but a grueller for the fit XC rider. Plus shorter green and blue trails.
Essential Information: Getting there - from Newton Stewart take the A714, signposted Girvan, for 13km. Turn right at Bargrennan signposted Galloway Forest Park. Take next right turn, just past Glentrool village signpost to Glentrool Visitor Centre.
Facilities include visitor centre, cafe, toilets and parking.
Other Attractions: Robert the Bruce Memorial overlooking the battle site where Bruce fought the English, Minoch Water and Falls, River Cree RSPB Site. Southern Upland Way - waymarked hiking route
