British Cycling Mountain Bike Commission

Mountain biking is serviced by two separate BC Commissions, one covering "Endurance" sport (cross country and endurance events) and the other "Gravity" (downhill and 4X).  The Commissions oversee the sport of mountain bike racing in Britain and are co-ordinated by British Cycling's mountain bike Event Development Officers. The Commissions address a wide variety of issues, including International, national and regional level competition, technical regulations, event standards, officials' training, development and the domestic calendar.

The Commissions are made up of a number of individuals experienced in the running, officiating and development of mountain biking. Commission members are selected for their involvement in the sport or are nominated by fellow commission members when a particular position becomes available.

For further details of the Commissions email mtb@britishcycling.org.uk or call 0161 274 2022 (gravity); mtbxc@britishcycling.org.uk or call 0161 274 2024 (endurance).
