Published: 24 January 2012

Ever fancied having a go at officiating on a downhill/4-cross event? If so a course is being run at Kielder Castle, Northumberland, NE48 1ER on Saturday 3 March from 10am-5pm.

You need to have a good knowledge of the rules and regulations ruling the sport but apart from that you just need a passion for Cycling and the course is free. You will be sent a pre course test to complete and bring on the day.

On completion of the course you will be able to attend events as an Assistant Commissaire and be able to progress onto a Regional Commissaire through completing a logbook and gaining experience as a commissaire. For further details or to book on the course contact the Regional Events Officer Andrew Johnston at andrewjohnston@britishcycling.org.uk.
