Matt Crampton

Specialising in Sprint events, Matt has represented Great Britain in the Sprint, Team Sprint, Keirin and Kilo events on the world stage at junior, under-23 and now senior level.

Matt’s career took off back in 2004 when he won two gold medals in the UEC Junior European Track Championships in the Sprint and Keirin. In the same year, he took silver in the Keirin at the Youth Commonwealth Games in Australia.

In 2006, he represented England in the Commonwealth Games, this time at senior level. Here he took silver in the Team Sprint, alongside his established teammates Jamie Staff and Jason Queally.

His first international success on the world stage came in 2008, where he took bronze in the Sprint at the world cup in Manchester. Also, Matt scooped the gold medal and  prize money, at the invitation-only JKA Keirin, seeing off stiff competition from around the globe.

2011 saw Matt win the gold medal in the Keirin at the UEC Track Cycling European Championships, as well as winning the bronze medal in the Team Sprint at the World Championships.
