About Wendy:
Wendy entered the world of professional cycling comparatively late in life, first competing on the World Stage in 2005, aged 31, when she won Gold in the Individual Pursuit in the Sydney round of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup.
Wendy raised her game in 2008, taking her first World title in the Team Pursuit in Manchester. Later in the same year she made her Olympic debut in Beijing, where she won a Silver medal in the Individual Pursuit. She won Silver again in the 2009 World Track Championships, and retained helped the GB trio retain the World title in the Women’s Team Pursuit.
Wendy has also competed on the road and has won several British Time Trial Championships.
