Event Overview

Amersham Brill Amersham is a Classic 3 distance sportive based in and around the Chiltern Hills. fully supported, the rides will start and finish near the Historic Old town of Amersham, just North of London and wind there way through the lanes and legendary climbs that make this area such a hotbed for cyclists. The "turn" will be at the infamous Brill on the Hill a picture postcard setting which will have feed stations and Tech support. Riders then make their way back along the signed routes to finish  with a warm welcome from the crowd attending the GE Chiltern Cycling Festival. The sportive is the flagship event of the Festival which is a celebration of all things cycling for the whole family.

Family Fun Ride The easiest ride to get involved with, open to all types of bikes, the route of approx 8km  is flat and a great way to just ride your bike with Family and friends. at approx.12.30 so why not tag a Pic-nic by the river, onto the end of your ride and enjoy the rest of the Festival. The ride will be supported by Luker Rowe and if you really want to enter the Festival spirit bring some fancy dress (for bikes and riders)! At under £5 for a family (or group) of 4 riders its also super value


Vintage Club Run & Concours d'Elegance
It's all about the simple enjoyment of riding your "Classic" bike on a Summers day in a beautiful setting. From traditional wicker baskets to Classic lightweights expect plenty of retro inspired High Jinx - there are no set rules governing the bikes age as long as you enter into the vintage spirit you will be in good company. Make time for a pub stop at the end or enjoy the Vintage stalls & a Cream Teas .
The route of approx 8km is flat and a great way to simply ride your bike with friends new and old. Start will be at approx.12.30.
PLUS there's the Concors d'Elegance parade where entrants with Vintage Club Run numbers will be informally judged on bikes, deportment and the style that best reflects cycling’s golden eras, with podium presentations for all winners.


The Festival also has a competitive Hill Climb included, therefore if you want to have a go at this make sure you enter here: Hill Climb Entry

Riders are encouraged to stay with friends and family and enjoy the rest of the days events.

The Festival is open to all... Cyclo Sportives, closed road Hill Climb, Baby Velodrome, Retro Ride, Velo Village, family fun, classic Pic Nic, Vintage fashion, gourmet market, local Beer and produce, LIVE Tour de France action, Music, Concours D’elegance and so much more

The JAGUAR Amersham Brill Amersham Sportives are part of the GE Chiltern Cycling Festival day of events. 3 Route options:100 miles, 100km and the 30 mile. The Amersham Classic a 30 mile RETRO RIDE (Pre 1989 bikes!) in the style of Cyclings Golden eras - riders are asked to dress in suitable attire and enter into the retro inspired "spirit of racing" PLUS there's a Family Fun ride and Vintage Club Run based on laps of Amersham Old Town (a flat 5 miles), ...the perfect opportunity to enjoy a great Summers ride with family and friends. The Festival also has a competitive Hill Climb included, if you want to have a go at this make sure you enter here: https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/events/details/97194/The-Rectory-Hill-Climb-%28Chiltern-Cycling-Festival%29 With 40+ stalls, a bike jumble, farmers market, classic cars its a great day out for everyone.
