Elgin CC are very proud to host this year's Scottish National 10 mile TT Championship.

An out and back course with a roundabout turn at the famous Baxter's of Speyside.

 

All Scottish Cycling Championships shall be open to persons who meet at least one of the criteria listed in SC2.2 in the Scottish National Championships and Records Technical Regulations.

About the Event

Info for Riders

The HQ will be at Inchberry Hall which is just over one mile from the start/finish.  The hall will be open from 7am. 

A race manual will be sent to riders prior to the event with full details.

There will be a “Road bike” category.

Rules for road bike prize are:

No TT/Tri bars, no TT aero helmet, no disc wheels (deep section wheels are fine).  Equipment and rider will be checked on the start line to be eligible.  

 

Course: Orton is an out and back course with a very slight down hill on the out leg.  The turn is on a roundabout which can be quite busy.  The roundabout will be very well marshalled but the rider MUST give way to traffic from the right.

 

SC2.1.1 Competitors in Road Time Trials and Team Time Trials must hold a minimum of SC/BC Silver Membership.

SC2.1.2 In MTB XC, MTB DH and Cyclo-cross, unlicensed riders may compete in a Championship race but will not be eligible for a Championship placing. In all other Scottish Championships, only eligible riders shall participate in the event.

SC2.2 All Scottish Cycling Championships shall be open to persons who meet at least one of the following criteria: -

SC2.2.1 Persons whose primary club is affiliated to Scottish Cycling (licence showing that club or team at the time entries close).

SC2.2.2 Scottish Nationals (persons born in Scotland).

SC2.2.3 Scottish Residents (persons who have continuously lived in Scotland for the last three consecutive years prior to the day of the Championship).

SC.2.2.4 Persons who have at least one parent who was born in Scotland.

SC2.2.5 Members of the armed forces who meet none of the above, but who by necessity are required to live in Scotland away from their normal residence.

 

No entries on the day. Entries close at midnight on Sunday 28th April.

 

Entries after closing date are at the discretion of the organiser and riders will not be eligible for the Championship.
