Heckington Show Grass Track

Track , Sleaford – Saturday, 27 Jul 2024

Event Summary

Event Overview

Heckington Grass Track returns in its 155th year.

Possibly one of the oldest bike races on the planet, Heckington Show's main ring will host riders on the 300m track around the main arena. With packed viewing areas and a generous prize list, a grand days racing is guaranteed!

The traditional Youth GoRide Club Championship will open proceedings, which will be open to all riders from all clubs, with the aim of getting more kids into the sport. Teams of 4 riders across all youth age cats, will compete in 4 events to accumulate points, with the top 3 teams on the day taking home the prizes. Events on the day will be 1 lap Sprint, Keirin, Elimination and Scratch. Clubs can enter multiple teams, or we can help make composite teams from the other riders.

The senior events will include rounds for the National Grass League Series, with support from all your favourite events, Handicap, Mile, Elimination and 800m. There will be prizes for all podium positions in all races, with the best combined rides across all events taking home the Victor and Vitrix Ludorum Trophies.
