Glentress Youth Stage Race 2021

Event Overview

The race consists of 4 stages over 2 days to test all the skills of a MTB rider, held at Forestry Comission Scotland's Glentress near Peebles. A new format for this year and some new courses. Details will be sent out nearer the time. 

Age categories u12, juvenile and youth.

Day 1 will consist of official practice and a XCT (individual TT)

Day 2 will consist of 3 events - XCR (team relay), XCO and XCC

For Juvenile and Youth, individual and team entries are allowed. A team is 2 male and 2 female competitors.

Please list the name of your team when entering

u12 entry is individual only and there will be no XCR

This year the Youth event also incorporates the British cycling MTB inter regional championships

 

A limit of 50 riders per race is in place. Entry will be approved by the organizers when all arrangements are in place. If a race is oversubscribed, entrants will be selected by the organizing committee.

About the Event

Info for Riders

Riders have to use the same bike and wheels for all races. The courses are technically and physically challenging and so all riders need to have a reasonable level of fitness and technical ability. If you need to contact the organizer please email peeblesccyouthstagerace@gmail.com

 

When entering as a team, please enter your team name in the box when prompted.

Parking space is limited so please park sensibly and close to other vehicles. No tent/EZUP allowed in the parking area. Charge will be the usual £5 per day - ticket from the machine in the car park.
