Icknield RC are pleased to promote a National B event for E/1/2/3 riders. Start at 1pm. Once again we are teaming up with Flamme Rouge Cycling Team, who will run a Regional B for 3rd & 4th Cat riders in the morning.

Both events will be run on the Great Barford Circuit in Bedfordshire.

Please note, these are seperate promotions as far as entry is concerned.

About the Event

Info for Riders

The circuit is Course C125. 9.5 miles 15.3km. 9 laps. Total distance 88 miles (140.7km) including 3.5km neutralised section.

The course is mostly unclassified roads, reasonably flat, often open with cross winds. Up to km 4 it uses the old A421. The finish line is at the top of Mill Hill, do NOT cross the double white line or you will be DQ’ed. Between Chawston to Colesden & Duck’s Cross the road is quite narrow, take care and respect the villages. There is a 500m x 12% climb at km 12. After km14 the descent back into the village is fast: take care on the LH bend by the field car park.

Take care in the finish sprint. You have two lanes to use. Oncoming traffic has one lane coming down the hill - DO NOT CROSS the double white line sprinting up the hill. Photo finish is planned to be used.

Race service will be provided.

This is a Central Road Race League promotion, in accordance with the intention of this organisation, preferential entry will be given for local riders.
