To be eligible to ride the Welsh Championships, riders must meet one or more of the following criteria:
Have been born in Wales or have a parental principal place of domicile in Wales OR Be the son or daughter of a person born in Wales or whose parents' principal place of domicile was in Wales OR Have resided in Wales for 5 years consecutively prior to the date of the Championship.

The Welsh Championships will consist of the E/1/2/3/ and Junior race over 4 laps of a 17 mile circuit followed by the Women's and Masters race over 3 laps of the same circuit.
