Event Overview

Ride for the 96 is an annual charity cyclo-sportive bike ride in memory of the 96 Liverpool FC fans who lost their lives in the Hillsborough stadium disaster on 15th April 1989.

The ride takes place on the outskirts of Liverpool and is organised in conjunction with British Cycling.

The ride is open to anyone to enter, and 100% of entrance fees and sponsorship monies will go to charity.

For the 2015 ride, 50% of the funds raised will go to the Alder Hey Childrens hospital, and 50% will go to Jamie Carraghers 23 Foundation to be allocated to youth projects and charitable causes on Merseyside.

What are the entrance fees?

This year, there is just a single entry fee of £24

Every rider will receive a rider pack on the day that contains a bottle of water and a hardcopy route sheet

Riders will additionally be able to download a TCX and/or GPX track file for GPS systems.

Ride for the 96 is an annual charity cyclo-sportive bike ride in memory of the 96 Liverpool FC fans who lost their lives in the Hillsborough stadium disaster on 15th April 1989. The 2015 ride covers 96km and is open to anyone, with a limit of 400 riders in total. Registration open from 8:30am for a 10am start.
