About the Event

Info for Riders

Always a crowd pleaser, The final race of the Chiltern Cycling Festival is The Penn House CLASSIQUE HILL CLIMB its a mile bottom to top and starts just inside the entrance gates to Penn House estate. Following the long drive through beech woods the climb twists and turns with cambered corners. Gradients only reach a maximum of 10% but the undulating nature (there is even a small dip at halfway) will challenge your climbing skills...and later your tactical knowledge! With the first timed round providing your chance to progress to the second round where riders are paired in two for a head to head ride... culminating in a third round ride off for the fastest four riders deciding the Podium for the King of the Chilterns.
