The Herts Easter Hunt

The Herts Easter Hunt sportive has probably some of the nicest scenery and rolling countryside roads in England, and is just outside of London. Most of the cyclists from the surrounding areas flock to this area to take in the quiet, rural roads that are coupled with demanding hill climbs to satisfy all types of rider.

A Rewarding Sportive with Challenges to Suit Riders of all Levels

The 3 stunning routes take advantage of the great rural roads and allow riders to choose their challenge of either 92/64/33 miles.

The route heads out from Brookmans Park through Brickendon with rolling countryside roads that allow you to get warmed up before hitting some undulating hills that will get you warmed up. The medium/long routes then heads out west towards Welwyn Garden City through little picturesque villages such as Ardeley and Weston, and the long makes it as far as Whipsnade Zoo, before heading south back towards Tewin and then beck through Essenden.

All routes finish through Riders will be pleased to see the finish after these punishing hills, and will feel great once they settle down to some refreshment at the end.

The HQ is minutes away from the M25 Junction 24 or for those on Public Transport Potters Bar station is very close with regular trains from London.

Event Headquarters Chancellor’s School Pine Grove Brookmans Park Hatfield Herts, AL9 7BN The HQ is minutes away from the M25 Junction 24 or for those on Public Transport Potters Bar station is very close with regular trains from London. The Herts Easter Hunt could possibly be the best timed sportive of the year. Coupled with the knowledge of knowing you’ll be able to have an extra Easter Egg, it’ll be comforting to know your alarm clock won’t be annoying you for work on this bank holiday weekend. The medium and long routes follow spectacular countryside, through villages such as Dane End, Ardeley, Gravely and St Pauls Walden before the Long split heads out West towards Whipsnade Zoo (not quite making it to see the wallabies) and returning to meet the medium route via Studham and Harpenden. The medium and Long then have 18 miles to go at this feed stop, where they will head through Burnham Green, Tewin and then finally up through Essenden (and the hill What a way so spend your Easter Sunday!
