With a week to go before the World Championships in Belgium, there was some encouragement for the GB contingent as a significant proportion of the Worlds team contested the final World Cup event at Hoogerheide.

Helen Wyman, consistently our best 'Cross rider in the World Cup

The women's race, in particular saw strong rides by Helen Wyman (6th & 5th overall in the series), Nikki Harris (7th & 10th overall) and Annie Last (8th). The absent Gabby Day also secured 18th in series overall.

In the senior men's race, newly crowned national champion Ian Field had one of his best rides of the season coming 27th and taking 36th in series.

Three junior men also travelled to the event, with Hugo Robinson the best finisher in 36th, though he did claim 21st overall in series, reard for a commited season of racing on the continent. Joe Moses was 43rd and Alex Welburn 45th.

Finally, in the under-23 men's event Kenta Gallagher was 32nd, Jack Clarkson 38th, Steve James 49th and Luke Gray 52nd.
