UK Soigneur Academy
By soigneur - Thursday, 14th January 2010

Starting February 28,  2010 a new training programme is launching that aims to provide qualified support staff to cyclists in Great Britain.  The start of this new programme comes at a perfect time. With GB Cycling aiming to quadruple its membership by 2013 and following the unprecedented success in Beijing Olympics, Mick and Bryan plan to deliver soigneurs who can support the cyclists efforts. “With major achievements at both World and Olympic levels we saw the inherent need for support provision and that we could specialize our training and knowledge provision.” Aspiring soigneurs can get more information at the website http://www.soigneur-academy.co.uk/ or by email, admin@soigneur-academy.co.uk.

In the interest of training the people who will care for the cyclists, I have started the UK's first Soigneur Academy. Information can be found here: http://www.soigneur-academy.co.uk/ I have one space available in the first intake, limited to 8! I also have 2 teams now with whom we can place students for final training, to get the true race experience. cheers, Mick
