How to put a link into a discussion...
By underthehill - Thursday, 19th November 2009

It seems the discussion is treated differently from the comments.

This is just the url:

http://www.britishcycling.org.uk

This has anchor code:

<a href="http://www.britishcycling.org.uk">British Cycling</a>

This has single quote anchor code:

<a href='http://www.britishcycling.org.uk'>British Cycling</a>

This has a common bb method:

[url]http://www.britishcycling.org.uk[/url]

Anyone who got one to work can you post how please ?

Thanks.

look for the link icon in the toolbar as you write your post - click on the left hand link and highlight the text you want to link and paste in the full url, including http:// - hope that helps.

Thanks for that help. I did see the link icon, but it didn't seem active when I was typing - I went for the icon first thinking it was an 'insert a link' icon, with the typing coming second. Didn't think of highlighting the text first !! Doh !
