TWICKENHAM CC/EVANS CYCLES WINTER SERIES

Saturday, 22th of November 2003, Hillingdon Cycle Circuit (London)

The 2nd race of the Hillingdon winter series held on Saturday November 22 and hosted by West Thames. With heavy rain hammering the circuit and a north easterly that cut to the bone 27 riders took to the start of round 2 of the winter series. Bill Butterworth (Twickenham CC) escaped after 10km to win by 40 seconds from a group of three containing Australian Brett Perez (Addiscombe CC), Robert Wright (Shaftesbury CC) and Ed Summerwell (Team Quest). Perez won the sprint for third. David Baker (Ciclos Uno) led in the pack at over a minute. Butterworth's win elevates him to Elite category.
