SUMMER IN THE PARK YOUTH RACES

In the last of the series, as there is to be no race on the 5th July, the standard of racing was of the highest standard. No Erik Meilak in the under 8s as he was still getting over a virus. So Joshua Parkin dominated. In over his third race with drop handle bars he looked in fine form as he romped home the clear winner.

The under 10s saw Jim Lewis of LVYCC get alot closer to Lambton and Humphreys, though not being able to get on their wheels. Lambton stamped his mark this week after being beaten last week by Humphreys. The top six in the under 12s got off to a good start, as the six made a large impact on the rest. Perrett, Schils tried to get away in turn and only stayed away after the tenth lap. The others tried to bridge the gap but were unable to, so they settle down. Perrett cliamed the win and Layton taking third in the sprint with the second group.

Riding team mate's Kirk Jenns's bike as he was also getting over a virus, as Alex Aldham-Breary's [ PCA Ciclos Uno ] own bike was making some strange sounds. Andrew Griffiths flew off the front and lapped the field. Leaving Alex and Jessica Stodart to go for 2nd & 3rd. Alex taking 2nd. Team Darenth's Tarryn Jarvis stayed with LVYCC James Jackson for over half of the under 16s race, and then only finished half a lap down. Her best result in the series. One Lap is 750 mtrs.
