39th PERFS PEDAL RACE

SUNDAY; 8th FEBRUARY 2004 at 11am

EVENT HEADQUARTERS: Parish Hall, Links Lane; ROWLANDS CASTLE, HANTS

COURSE DETAILS:
START [NEUTRALISED] West side of Rowlands Castle Green, right (M) into Woodberry Lane [DENEUTRALISE] Left (M) onto Emsworth Common Road, where first left (M), Proceed through Finish Area [start circuit] to Forestside where left (M) to Dean Lane End. Bear left on Finchdean road to Rowlands Castle, where left (M) before the Railway Bridge into Woodberry Lane. Complete 6 Circuits (6 Climbs) to finish adjacent to the Old Tip Layby in Forestside.

Circuit Distance: 6:5 miles Total Distance: 43 Miles (70km)

RIDER INSTRUCTIONS:
PLEASE READ THESE BEFORE THE DAY OF THE EVENT
1. No Licence - day Membership will have to paid at �12�00

2. CAR PARKING: SPORTS FIELD PAVILLION 100 yards opposite the Race Headquarters. CAUTION Cycle Roof Racks - Height Barrier. Please do not park in the road outside the Race Hq as this is for OFFICIALS only. Please do not park in front of Residents Drives, before during and after the event. Please DO NOT PARK on the Central Village Green - This is a stipulation from Rowlands Castle Parish Council

3. All riders need to be signed on by 10.40

4. NO FOLLOWING VEHICLES PLEASE !!!!!! Any riders associated with these vehicles will be DISQUALIFIED without question.

5. SPECTATORS ARE ASKED that if they are circulating the course whether on cycles or in a motor vehicle, in an opposite direction to the race, they stop, preferably off the road, when the race approaches them to allow the race safe passage.

6. Riders are asked to bring spare wheels for the Service. Insufficient will mean no service.

7. There is every chance that there will be a Police presence during all, or part of the event, either helping or observing. Please take extra care at all times and keep to the corect side of the road. REMEMBER THE RULES OF THE ROAD AT ALL TIMES

8. SHOE PLATES are not to be worn in the MAIN CHANGING HALL

9. REFRESHMENTS WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE RACE HQ.
