Challenge Event

Channel Cycle Challenge to Chantilly

Are you up for a challenge across the Channel? Then why not move up a gear and take part in SeeAbility’s latest cycle challenge - Cycle For Sight to Chantilly - which takes to the roads on the weekend of 16th to 18th May.

Cycle For Sight to Chantilly is a great cycling experience, where you can enjoy the breathtaking scenery of France with the lush green landscapes and quite cycle friendly roads, with the reassurance of a full support crew to take care of you, your bike and your luggage.

Starting from the Charity’s campus in Leatherhead, Surrey, cyclists will meander their way through some beautiful English and French countryside arriving in Chantilly to gala dinner and presentation before a well-earned rest.

Cycle For Sight to Chantilly is a two-day ride which is split into two categories, the Hares who ride 160 miles and the Tortoises who ride 80 miles. So whether you’re an experienced cycle pro’ or a keen leisure cyclist you can choose the challenge that suits you - There will be plenty of short climbs interspersed throughout this ride adding to the extra challenge and enjoyment.
SeeAbility organise everything, including Channel Crossings, overnight accommodation and back up teams. All that is asked is an entry fee of £75 to cover the costs and for cyclists to gain sponsorship, where all the monies raised from the event will help enormously towards the work of the charity, which provides service for people who are blind or partially sighted with additional disabilities.
For further information or to request an application form please contact Helen Moore on 01372 755016 or e-mail on h.moore@seeability.org.
