set in the grounds of a fantastic mansion and the racing was just as
hot and fantastic! Halesowen A&CC had a great team line up.
U8/U10 Points Race 8 laps
This turned into a very close points race between U10 Thomas Gregory
of Halesowen A&CC and Perry Bowater. Thomas managed to take the points
every time. The finish was a superb sprint to the line with Thomas taking
the win. There was a mad dash for placings further down the field with
Leanne Talbot, Jess Wieckowski, Charlotte Evans and Rosie Hemmings,
all from Halesowen A&CC, taking 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th respectably. In
the U-8s, Matthew Gregory of Halesowen A&CC , took the uphill finish
in his stride to take the win.
U12s 15 lap race
This saw Sarah Reynolds of Brereton Wheelers take a very convincing
lead from the start, leaving Tom Wieckowski and Craig Talbot of Halesowen
A&CC vying for 2nd and 3rd places. The two boys worked together to stay
ahead of the rest of the bunch. Sarah won convincingly by almost of
a lap. Tom and Craig had an uphill sprint to the line with Tom Wieckowski
taking 2nd and Craig taking 3rd. The remaining Halesowen A&CC riders
had a hard battle and Lauren Carbut just missed out on 4th place but
secured 5th. Faye Evans rode for the first time and still had a big
smile to finish. U14s 20 lap race
Halesowen A&CCs Oliver Graham and Jack Kirk put on a great performance
in this event. They were in a group of five riders all vying for 4th
place. But unfortunately, Oliver and Jack had to settle for 7th and
8th place respectively.
U16s 25 lap race
This saw another 1st time rider for Halesowen A&CC Ben Hotchin riding
very well. Ben was racing against a Bromsgrove rider and managed to
beat him on the line. Well done Ben!
