BBC launches Born to Win: The biggest ever TV search for new sporting talent The BBC is launching its biggest ever search for new sporting talent – its called BORN TO WIN and if you are aged between 16 and 18 and think you could be the next Jason Queally or Paula Radcliffe and believe you have the raw talent to succeed in a tough sporting competition, or think you are great at your chosen sport, then the BBC want to hear from you. The way to get involved is to visit the BORN TO WIN website and fill in the online questionnaire to see if you’ve got what it takes to become a champion. After the online stage, successful applicants will go through to one of a massive series of U.K wide regional trials, where you’ll be put through a series of physical tests. After the results from the UK trials have been collated, a number of semi finalists will be invited to compete in two days of rigorous physical and psychological competition at Loughborough University during the Easter weekend. 16 finalists, 8 male and 8 female, will be selected to take part in the televised final competition which will be staged during August at one of Europe’s top sports complexes to discover who is BORN TO WIN. If you want to take part in this exciting new series go to: www.bbc.co.uk/borntowin
or text the word WIN to 80125 for more details, the closing date for applications
is 21/02/03.
