| L'Etape du Tour |
Entries for the 2003 L'Etap du Tour (16 July), the event
where leisure riders get to ride a stage of the Tour de France, open today
(weds 29). Non French entrants to the Etape will need a current BC membership
and racing licence, or an original or a photocopy of a doctor's certificate
stating that they are "fit to take part in cycle races" no more
than 3 months old on the date of application.
This year's route is the Pau - Bayonne stage, over 200km
in length with two 1500m climbs. The general advice is to get your entries
in asap as the event is massively over-subscribed every year. Good luck!
