LEAGUE 2002 PRIZE PRESENTATION
League 2000 is a series of cycling competitions, time trial, skills
tests and road races held at Redcar and Cleveland Off Road Centre Go-Kart
track every 2 weeks from April to September for Youth category riders.
The league was conceived originally by Cleveland Wheelers, but in recent
years, in response to the numbers of young riders attracted to the format,
they have been assisted by members of Stockton Wheelers. This year a
total of over 60 riders took part at some time or another, with a record
number of 47 riders signing on one balmy summer evening!
The League 2000 recently held their annual prize presentation at Southlands
Centre in Middlesbrough where prizes were presented to boys and girls
in U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and over 16 categories. Besides taking home
a medal and trophy each prize-winner drew a tombola prize that ranged
from a feed bottle to a pair of Oakleys!
