FORMER PRO STAR TO RIDE NOCTURE

Tour de France and Classics star, Sean Kelly is coming out of retirement to ride the Past Masters race for ex-Pro's. The Irishman is being brought over for a promotional visit by one the country's top cycling equipment retailers, Parker International, and has agreed to ride the Shropshire Star Newport Nocturne on Saturday September 13th. Phil Griffiths of Yellow Ltd has kitted out Kelly with a Pinarello bike and Assos clothing for the night.

Kelly's visit is bound to boost the crowd beyond the 10,000 spectators that have been attracted to the town's race in the past. The 5 times winner of the Tour de France green points jersey will line up against other luminaries such as Keith Lambert, "SuperSid" Barras, Dudley Hayton and Les West. Kelly is also well known to cycling fans as the co-commentator on Eurosport's cycling coverage.

Co-Promoter Nick Jeggo said "It's fantastic that Parker International have given cycling fans the chance to see Sean Kelly race in Britain".
