HONORED IN ISLE OF MAN |
Cycling picked up two of the nine awards at the recent Isle of Man
Sports Personality of the Year ceremony for 2002. Scottish Provident
children's cycling league organiser Dot Tilbury was named Sports Administrator
of the Year and Ellan Vannin CC's Guy Adamson received the disabled
award. More than 250 people attended the function at the Hilton Hotel
in Douglas and the guest of honour was former top athlete and BBC TV
commentator Steve Cram. The two main awards went to motorcycle racing
star Richard Quayle and Olympic bobsleigher Cheryl Done.
