Cycling picked up two of the nine awards at the recent Isle of Man Sports Personality of the Year ceremony for 2002. Scottish Provident children's cycling league organiser Dot Tilbury was named Sports Administrator of the Year and Ellan Vannin CC's Guy Adamson received the disabled award. More than 250 people attended the function at the Hilton Hotel in Douglas and the guest of honour was former top athlete and BBC TV commentator Steve Cram. The two main awards went to motorcycle racing star Richard Quayle and Olympic bobsleigher Cheryl Done.
